Mozilla Ignite Challenge: Gigabits of Possibilities

What amazing things could your nonprofit think of doing with a custom application that ran on the web, mobile devices – even on TV's and in cars? Would you connect health providers more directly with patients? Give first responders custom sets of data to use in emergencies? Improve early warning systems to help reduce the impact of natural disasters?

Mozilla's Ignite Challenge gives you the chance to make those dreams a reality!

Mozilla and the National Science Foundation are inviting nonprofits to take part in an open innovation challenge. The goal: show how next-generation networks can revolutionize healthcare, education, public safety, energy,  and more. The "Mozilla Ignite Apps Challenge" will include an Idea stage that anyone can participate in, followed by a series of developer rounds in which developers compete to develop actual apps. The total prize is $500,000, split between winners of the various stages as selected by a panel of judges.

We'll be co-hosting a webinar with our friends at ZeroDivide on July 16th to talk about the challenge, answer questions and show you how to participate.
