Chances are, if you've attended an NTC since 2008, you've met David Krumlauf. He was the one walking around with an NTEN baseball cap and a huge smile on. David, the Chief Technologist for the Pierce Family Charitable Foundation, has been an integral part of the NTEN community since he first joined in 2007.
Always willing to connect with new members and support the NTEN staff and all of our efforts, his unwavering participation this year has been no different and means so much to all of us here at NTEN. Officially the first 2012 NTC registrant, David kicked off his fundraising page, shared his NTEN story and sent out too many #NTENThanks tweets to count during the first week of Member Appreciation Month.
Since the NTEN staff has already sent him every piece of NTEN gear ever made and awarded him the NTEN award at the 2010 NTC, we wanted to do something special this time around. In an effort to honor David's seemingly bottomless spirit of giving, we reached out and asked him to select two organizations to receive complimentary 2012 NTEN Memberships. These organizations are:
- Deborah's Place : For the past 25 years, Deborah's Place has worked to break the cycle of homelessness through compassionate, innovative, and award-winning programs. Our dedicated volunteers and staff support women through their journeys from homelessness to permanent supportive housing with comprehensive services.
- The Cara Program : The Cara Program prepares and inspires motivated individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, transform their lives, strengthen our communities, and forge paths to real and lasting success.
Welcome to the community Deborah's Place & The Cara Program, we're so glad you're here. And, one more time: an huge #NTENThanks to David Krumlauf for all that you do to keep the nonprofit technology community thriving!
