We're closing in on our final transition to Communities of Practice here at NTEN and are so excited to be able to offer more free learning and networking opportunities for NTEN members and the NPTech community at large.
We have three new groups that recently transitioned and all are holding their first calls (also free for everyone) in the upcoming weeks. Check out the following CoP's and their upcoming events:
- The Nonprofit Technology Consultants CoP is a forum for nonprofit technology consultants to help facilitate frank discussion about working with nonprofit organizations. They're having their first call on Monday, September 26th. You can find out more and register here.
- The Drupal CoP is a group for those who want to talk about the joys and heartaches of developing, building, and/or maintaining websites in the open-source CMS, Drupal. The first call of the Drupal CoP will be on Wednesday, October 5th. You can find out more about this call and register here.
- The IT Directors CoP is for nonprofit IT or MIS Directors/Managers as well as CIOs and CTOs to connect with their peers and share best practices. The IT Directors will have their first call on Thursday, October 6th. Find out more and register here.
These three groups all have fantastic volunteer organizers from the community who are looking forward to engaging CoP members in quality peer learning and resource sharing. We're particularly excited about the network of support that these CoP's can offer to nonprofit IT staff.
We hope that you'll join the CoP's and pass them along to your networks as well. The more folks we have sharing their experiences and knowledge, the more we can move our organizations forward.
Stay tuned to the NTEN blog as we move closer to the October 1st transition date; we'll be posting more updates about new CoPs to join. If you have questions about starting a CoP or converting your affinity group, first check out the FAQ, then email me at sarah@nten.org.
