The generosity of time given by nonprofit professionals has allowed NTEN to create reports on the state of IT staffing in the sector that have been read thousands of times. We've just opened the 5th Annual Nonprofit IT Staffing Survey, brought to you by NTEN and The Nonprofit Times. Your response will benefit the entire sector by helping us better understand the IT staffing needs of nonprofits and how nonprofits allocate resources towards their IT infrastructure.

The nonprofit sector spends little time considering the investments it makes in Information Technology (IT). Yet, no organization today would be successful without such investments. This area raises questions difficult for any organization to answer on its own:
- How many IT staff members should we have?
- What should we budget for IT?
- What salaries are appropriate?
- How should our IT staff members spend their time?
We'll make it easy for you to fill the gap between expensive benchmarking services and going it alone by surveying thousands of staff at nonprofits big and small. We'll find out what it takes to make technology work for them and what qualified staff they need. In return, we'll give you the hard numbers you need to invest in technology.
To accomplish that, we need you to share your experiences. If you make technology decisions for your nonprofit, please take the survey -- then pass it on to a colleague or six! It should only take about 15 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you may voluntarily choose to provide an email address to enter our drawing to win a $250 Amazon.com gift certificate.
