We're only about 6 weeks away from the 2010 Nonprofit Technology Conference in Atlanta -- but to get the regular price ($459 for NTEN Members) you need to register by March 1st!
Now, if you haven't experienced the NTC yet, simply hearing that it's "the biggest, most fun nonprofit technology event of the year" probably won't convince you (even though it's true).
So, here's a (certainly incomplete) list of reasons you should take the leap and:
Top reasons to attend the 2010 NTC, April 8-10, in Atlanta:
- You'll learn. A lot. In addition to choosing 6 breakout sessions from more than 90 possibilities covering the latest & greatest (as well as the tried & true), you'll be able to attend Affinity Group Meetings, Ignite Sessions, an Unconference on Open Data and APIs, and more. That's a lot o' learning!
- CFRE Credit! We just learned that you'll be able to earn 9 hours of CFRE credit for attending the NTC. Details to follow...
- You'll have a great time. We even crowdsourced the social scene this year, asking attendees what they wanted to do for fun in the evenings. We expect that will lead to some great after-hours escapades. Then there's the After Party itself. You have to attend that: this year's celebration will take place at the World of Coca-Cola. (That's got to bring out the kid in you.)
- Andrew Sullivan & Suzanne Seggerman. Our plenary speakers are world class. On Friday, Andrew, a blogging pioneer with The Atlantic, will talk about blogging culture and its evolution in the social web. On Saturday, Suzanne, co-founder of Games for Change, will discuss the power of gaming for social change. That's right: gaming! How sweet is that?
- We'll feed you. Oft overlooked, but important: your registration fee includes breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday, so you'll be able to concentrate on the conference. With a little ingenuity, you can likely surf from reception to reception each evening and avoid paying for a single meal. (Unless you want to: Atlanta has some great restaurants.)
- Our local host. The Georgia Center for Nonprofits will bring the successful Georgia Nonprofit Summit Conference to the NTC in the form of the Leadership Summit Track.
- You'll meet terrific people. That's what it comes down to, really, and what makes the NTC what it is: we bring together the best and brightest people working in nonprofit technology, from all walks of life, and let you interact. The discussions you'll have with folks who share your values will likely be the highlight of the three days.
In the end, we can only promise you this: you will leave the NTC exhausted. But it will be the good kind of exhaustion, one that gives way to excitement and a renewal of purpose in your work to make the world a better place. We hope to see you there.
