their nptech awesome. Members are in bold. Tag your own news with "nten

Congrats to Miyoko Brunner, of WITNESS and Christina Johns, of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews -- both cited as Rising Stars in Fundraising Success Magazine.
Need a primer on social media online tools for nonprofits? Check out Blackbaud's white paper (PDF) for a good introduction and some considerations.
I have to say, I'm really thankful for nptech rockstars like Amy Sample Ward who not only works hard to have her listening scope tuned to tools and strategies that will help nonprofits, but who keeps us all updated on what she's hearing and learning. Read her recent interview with Marshall Kirkpatrick about ReadWriteWeb's new report on the "real-time web" and what that means for your nonprofit. NTEN member American Red Cross is cited as example.
Charity Dynamics tells us about an iPhone app they implemented for Hill Country Ride for AIDS event to provide mobile fundraising and event update help for participants. The app includes ride maps, the updates and discussions via Twitter, and people-to-people fundraising tools. Let us know how it worked out -- we'd love to see a case study on its adoption and impact on fundraising!
When I hear the word "foursquare", I basically think of the school yard game. But I've been hearing a lot of buzz about it lately via my Twitter and Facebook networks, mostly from folks I assume are not spending that much time on blacktop playing games. Thankfully, Britt Bravo wrote a piece on the new web2.0 tool to explain what it is and how your museum, for example, could make good use of it. Think a cross between Yelp, Google Maps, and Twitter. Check out Britt's list of the 4 things you could do with it for your museum (or park or school yard, or other public location).
Aspiration's cool resource, Social Commons, just added several new tools to the Community Platforms Toolbox, thanks to the recent discussion by several NTENers via the NTEN Discuss list. Glad to see Golightly in the tool box -- props! And thanks to Allen Gunn and Matt Garcia for the great resource!
Stay tuned to our blog in the coming weeks because we'll be posting interviews and podcasts with some of the many nptech rockstars who will be speaking at the 10NTC in April.
