ForeSee Results released a report at the yesterday on "Trends in Constituent Satisfaction with Nonprofit Websites: Building Membership, Donations, and Loyalty through the Web Channel". If you haven’t been keeping track, that’s the third report released at the 2009 NTC -- with by far the longest title.
We’ve all secretly suspected that our websites have issues, and now there’s data to back us up. The report finds that “nonprofit websites score 73 on the study’s 100-point scale, below many other online industries, including Online Banking (83), E-Retail (74), E-Government (74) and Automotive Websites (78).” That’s right: we’re even behind government websites.
But we’re glass half full of beer folks here. The good news is that not only is there room for improvement, but improvement actually yields measurable benefits. Visitors who are highly satisfied with your website are more likely to donate, volunteer, and recommend your organization.

So, get cracking on those redesigns. (The new NTEN site will debut in the Fall.)
