Every fall, I start getting renewal notices for my single magazine subscription. (No, it's not the Economist, or even Newsweek. It's Entertainment Weekly. There, I admit it!) I know my subscription isn't up until January, so I never renew until, like, December 30.
Waiting until the last minute? That's just human nature. So I completely understand if you haven't given to the NTC Scholarship campaign yet. We have until Saturday to finish raising $10,000, which will be matched dollar for dollar by Convio, and will help us send 57 awesome nptechies to the NTC.
So, now that the last minute is upon us, break out the wallet, and join the 100 or so others who have already contributed! We're just $3500 away from our goal -- and my impending embarrasment.
I'd like to take a moment to give some special thanks to CivicActions. They contributed in a big way over the weekend to get us where we are. Check 'em out. They're good people!
Also, a big shout out to my Twitter peeps, for all the support: @SteveHeye, @kanter, @We_Care_Giving, @snyderwriter, @jordanv, @karitas, @kbladow, @galedawg, @peterscampbell, @lnorvig, and especially @johnmerritt. John matched a $100 donation on Friday. Isn't he nice?
