Sam Churchill, dailywireless.org, has compiled some graphs and rankings on the current wired and wireless states of the world from a Forbes article. We need to analyze this and wonder why the United States is dropping in these rankings. But what I found most interesting in the article is an organization that had its launch at the Personal Democracy Forum: Internet for Everyone.

Internet for Everyone is a new initiative that wants to ensure that the internet will be a tool for all that can stimulate innovation. They believe that everyone should have access to the open, high-speed internet at an affordable price. If you read this blog, you know that NTEN agrees: the interstate system is good, bacon is power, and nonprofits need to be involved in the discussion.

Internet for Everyone is looking to bring together the private and public sectors to discuss a national broadband plan. They will hold public forums across the country to discuss internet for all based on these 4 principles: access, choice, openness, and innovation.

I look forward to following their work. You can, too, by joining here.
