On Thursday, David Pogue shared technology trends we should be aware of in his talk, "Three Technologies for the Next 5 Years" (and yes, he did sing and yes, the audience waved their iPhones like lighters).
Friday's plenary was a panel discussion about the role of technology and the grassroots efforts of nonprofits in the rebuilding of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Leading the discussion was Laura Crochet, of the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organization (LANO). Deborah Cotton, the Editor-in-Chief of LouisianaRebuilds.info, and Patricia Jones, President of the Lower 9th Ward Neighborhood Empowerment Network Association (NENA) also spoke about their involvement in the local efforts to revive New Orleans.
