Community Tweets in the SoCal Fires
Flickr Photo From: thedpqThe fires in Southern California are a tremendous tragedy. I've heard estimates that up to 500,000 people have been asked to evacuate their homes.
As this is one of the most tech-saturated areas of the country, though, it's interesting to see how many individuals and organizations are turning to the web to organize, share, and emote.

Thank you so much for spreading the word about my feed. Thousands of people (and hundreds of twitter subscribers) have now been helped by using Twitter as a tool. But it's only the beginning of citizen journalism doing a better job than mainstream. Here's some ideas on what could be done better in the wake of this disaster. I would love your thoughts on it.
