Vote and Then Tell Your Story
It's midterm Election Day in the United States and in addition to the usual politics leading up to an election another concern has emerged - voting irregularities. Many towns have switched to electronic voting machines and are testing them out today, which has a lot of people worried that votes will be lost. Unfortunately it looks like this is a valid concern.
Luckily a couple organizations are making it easy to report any problems you have at the polls today. VoterStory.org
is collecting people's bad voting experiences through an online form.
And they're asking for others to put the open source widget on their
websites to help spread the word. So far more than 30 organizations
have put it on their website, and you can find directions here on how to put it on your website.
TrueMajorityAction.org
is running a hotline for people to report any problems they have voting
today. They've also organized a team to respond to these problems.
People who've signed up on their website will receive a text message
if there's a problem in their area and asked to all election
officials to act on the reported problems.
Of course, hopefully everything will go off without a hitch.
